2024 CHCA Awards – Contest Rules

  1. Eligibility for Nomination and Voting
    • Any independent cleaning professional or housecleaning business operating in Canada is eligible to be nominated and voted for.
    • Only CHCA-accredited businesses or independent providers are eligible to win. This includes businesses or individuals who are currently undergoing the accreditation process or are already accredited at the time of the award announcement.
    • Owners, staff, and customers of the nominated businesses are permitted to vote.
    • Participants must be 18 years of age or older to vote.
  2. Voting Period
    • The voting period begins on October 15, 2024, and ends at 11:59 PM on November 30, 2024.
    • Votes cast outside of this timeframe will not be counted or considered.
  3. Voting Rules
    • Each eligible voter is permitted to vote once per day during the voting period.
    • Multiple votes by the same individual within a single day are not allowed. Any attempt to circumvent this rule may result in disqualification of votes.
    • Voting must be completed through the official CHCA voting platform, and voters may be required to provide a valid email address to ensure compliance with the one-vote-per-day rule.
    • Automated voting or the use of any bots, macros, scripts, or other means to artificially influence the voting process is strictly prohibited. Any votes submitted in violation of this rule will be voided.
  4. Nominee Eligibility and Accreditation
    • Nominees may include any independent cleaning professionals or housecleaning businesses.
    • To win an award, the nominee must be accredited by the CHCA. Businesses or individuals undergoing the accreditation process at the time of voting are eligible for nomination but must have completed or be in the process of completing accreditation at the time of award finalization to be declared a winner.
    • If a nominated business or individual fails to meet the accreditation requirement by the award announcement, they will be disqualified from winning.
  5. Disqualification and Fraudulent Activity
    • The CHCA reserves the right to disqualify any nominee or voter found to have violated these rules or engaged in fraudulent activity, including but not limited to vote tampering, use of automated systems, or false claims of accreditation.
    • Votes that are found to be in violation of the contest rules will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the CHCA.
  6. Final Decisions
    • The CHCA reserves the right to make all final determinations regarding the eligibility of nominees, the validity of votes, and the selection of award winners.
    • All decisions made by the CHCA in relation to the 2024 CHCA Awards are final and binding.
  7. Privacy and Data Use
    • Personal information collected during the voting process will be used solely for the purposes of vote verification and ensuring contest integrity. This data will not be shared with third parties.
  8. Winners Announcement
    • Winners of the 2024 CHCA Awards will be announced in mid-December 2024 following the conclusion of the voting period and the completion of all necessary verifications. Only accredited businesses and individuals will be declared winners.
